ATRA Legal Reform Champion:

Dick Thornburgh

Dick Thornburgh is known to most Americans as Attorney General of the United States under President George H. W. Bush. One of the highest-profile attorneys in America, Dick Thornburgh has spent his career at the crossroads of law, government, and legal reform. A graduate of Yale and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, he has served on a number of corporate and non-profit boards over the years.

He was twice elected governor of Pennsylvania, and served as director of the Institute for Politics at Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government. Dick has been a tireless advocate of civil justice reform, writing scores of articles and opinion pieces, appearing on countless radio and television interview shows, and lecturing across America. When top editors and producers need a voice for reform, they often go to Dick Thornburgh.
