Lew Ebert Biography

 

President and CEO, S. Lewis Ebert who joined NCCBI August 21, 2006, previously served as President and CEO of The Kansas Chamber. During his three-and-a-half years there, he led the organization to become the fastest growing statewide business organization in America. The Kansas Chamber and its affiliate organization, The Kansas Chamber Federation, have 10,000 small, large and medium-sized employer members, including local and regional chambers of commerce and business organizations.

 

Prior to heading The Kansas Chamber, Ebert spent 23 years in progressively expanding roles at the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry—widely recognized as one of the top chambers in the country. During his last five years there, he was responsible for program marketing and operations in for-profit services, including the launch of a comprehensive health insurance and employee benefits program to serve more than 5,000 member organizations. His entire career, Ebert has focused on improving the business climate by reducing the costs of doing business so that companies can be more productive. He graduated cum laude from Millersville University in Pennsylvania with a degree in political science. He and his wife Tammy have two grown daughters, Ashley and Jamie. The Eberts live in Raleigh, North Carolina, headquarters for NCCBI.
