Mark Wilson Biography
Mark Wilson
serves as senior vice president for the
Florida Chamber of Commerce.
His responsibilities include strategic integration and oversight of the
political, advocacy, and grassroots operations, Florida’s largest
pro-business advocates. Under Mark’s leadership, the Florida Chamber
created the Florida Chamber Federation, which has grown the Chamber’s
statewide grassroots network from 5,000 employers to more than 137,000
employers and now provides essential linkages between local and state
chambers.
Prior to joining the Florida Chamber in 1998, Mark served four years as
vice president of the Chicago Chamber where he was responsible for small
business advocacy and membership programs.
Before joining the Chicago Chamber, Mark served as grassroots membership
manager for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s midwestern office in
Oakbrook, Illinois.
Mark was born in Central Illinois and grew up in the suburbs of Chicago.
Mark received his BA in Business from the University of Georgia in
Athens. Mark is a member of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives,
the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals, and American
Membership Executives and currently serves as director for
VoteSmartFlorida.org and interim president of the Florida Justice Reform
Institute. Mark resides in Tallahassee, Florida with his wife, two sons
and a daughter.
